IIFM Bhopal admissions generally start in the month of June, for the year 2024, IIFM Bhopal Phd has been concluded . IIFM, Bhopal offers PhD courses in Communication and Extension Management, Ecosystem and Environment Management, Environment and Developmental Economics, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, and Quantitative Techniques, Marketing Management, Sociology, and Community Development, Technical Forestry, and Strategic Management.

IIFM Bhopal PhD Key Highlights

• The minimum duration of the PhD course is 3 years and a maximum of 6 years.
• Candidates who want to pursue PhD should not exceed 45 years of age.
• The PGDFM graduates of IIFM, get an exemption from first-year PhD courses.
• Candidates should have clear the NET/JRF entrance exam for taking admission in PhD
• Each student would be given a monthly fellowship of Rs.16,000/- in the first and second year; Rs.19,000/- in the third and fourth year during the program. A contingency grant of Rs.35,000/- per year would also be provided, as per the rule. 
• The admission fee of the PhD course is Rs. 1000

IIFM, Bhopal PhD Eligibility

•  A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks are required
• Candidates should have a master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering and Technology/Management/ Economics/ Social Science/Biological Science/ Pure Science/ Commerce/ Humanities/ Forestry and related science/ Environmental and related discipline, and other relevant disciplines 

OR

•  A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with a minimum of 55% marks 

OR

• For IIFM Graduates, who have done PGDFM and IIM graduates who have done PGDM, the minimum OGPA of 3.00 in 4.33 maximum scale, is required. 

OR

•  For MRM Post Graduates from IIFM, with 3.00 CGPA and above.

IIFM Bhopal PhD Admission Procedure 

Selection of candidate in the PhD is based on the two-stage process –

•  Screening Test 

Eligible candidates with any one of the following scores will be called directly for an Online/Personal Presentation and Interview: - 

1. i) IIM CAT/GMAT (scores of two years old with required cut off) as decided by IIFM 
2. ii) UGC-CSIR-JRF/NET (Certificate not older than five years) in the relevant area of specialization. 

iii) GATE (Certificate not older than five years)

1. iv) ICAR NET (Certificate not older than 2 years)
2. v) FRI entrance test for PhD (two years old)
3. vi) Candidates who have already obtained a PGDFM from IIFM/PGDM IIM with a minimum of OGPA of 3.00

vii) Candidates who have obtained MRM from IIFM with 3.00 CGPA and above. 

viii) All India and allied services officers, officers in scale II of nationalized banks, officers of equivalent rank of PSU.

Candidates who fulfill the required eligibility, as given on the previous page, and do not have any of the above qualifying tests, but have five years working experience post their respective eligible degree will have to qualify for the internal test designed by IIFM. 

• Presentation and Personal Interview

 (I) Candidates will be called for online presentation and interview as per the criteria decided by IIFM. 

(ii) Final selection will be based on criteria as decided from time to time by the Institute. 

(iii) Students will be admitted in a specific area of specialization related to the existing faculty areas of the Institute. 

(iv) A maximum of ten students can be admitted each year.

• Interested candidates are required to submit their applications in the prescribed ONLINE application form with all supporting documents, as required. 
• The application form is available at Institute's website www.iifm.ac.in/fpm at FPM admission page.
•  The candidate will be required to register himself/herself on the website to have access to the application form.
•  A valid working email address and a mobile number are required for registering to access the online application form. 
• The application fee of Rs. 1000/- should be submitted online to complete the application submission.

IIFM Bhopal PhD Course Structure

IIFM Bhopal offers a PhD course of minimum duration of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years in the following specializations namely: Communication and Extension Management, Ecosystem and Environment Management, Environment and Developmental Economics, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, and Quantitative Techniques, Marketing Management, Sociology, and Community Development, Technical Forestry, and Strategic Management.

• TOTAL credit give to the First Year is 20.75 CU
• Candidates should have to submit the research-oriented project of ten weeks' duration immediately after Term-III
• Electives chosen by the student, during terms IV and V, must be from the area of specialization. 
• The PhD candidate shall acquire a total of 29.75 credit units in the first two years of the coursework

IIFM Bhopal PhD Financial Assistance 

A) Monthly Fellowship 

All selected students (non-sponsored) will get a monthly fellowship of Rs. 16,000 during the first two years, which is incremented to Rs. 19,000 per month for the third and fourth years of the program. PGDFM graduates from IIFM selected for the fellow programme get financial assistance and contingency grant for three years. 
 

B) Contingency Grant 

The students would also be provided (on a reimbursable basis) with a contingency grant up to Rs. 35,000/- per year for all four years (three years for IIFM graduates) for purchasing relevant books, journals, stationery, computer accessories, academic tour and travels, Xeroxing expenses, and boarding and lodging expenses as per rules. The unspent amount of the contingency grant in any year may be carried forward till the end of the fourth year. 

C) General 

The students cannot take any other financial benefits from IIFM, like from research projects from centers of the IIFM or from outside.
