Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum are very vast at msit. They follow the curriculum issued by GGPSIPU University. In BTech there are 4 branches CSE, IT, ECE, EEE. In the first year you have to study a lot of subjects which may not be part of your course but it is important to give basic knowledge about engineering. I chose this course because I was really interested in computer science and wanted to become a programmer. The faculty present here is strict but at the same time very helpful. Discipline is very important for them. The faculty is very knowledgeable and qualified, they have published their own research papers and many more which you can access at www.msit.in. Exams are mostly conducted on time and the level of exams is moderate if you will follow what the teacher is explaining it is easy to pass.

I chose CSE because I always wanted to be a software developer and also if I want to switch my field it is slightly easy to switch from CSE at least that's what I think. Faculty members are very supportive and interactive, support children and their ideas and course curriculum is up to date.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty members here are quite nice and know their subjects. Unlike some colleges, the teachers are willing to teach and take lectures regularly. Even if you have some doubts then they will be there to help you anytime. However, there are some teachers which you may find overly strict and sometimes you may even feel that you are still in school as you have to do a lot of assignments.

Cse offers high-paying jobs. Most of the faculty have a Ph.D. degree with good knowledge but they lack in teaching. Term exams are held timely and overall difficulties are easy teachers often do not much care about mid term exams.

I did a diploma in Computer science and engineering and then I thought to pursue a degree in the same field. The qualification of faculties is a minimum Masters in their respective field or a Ph.D. not lesser than that. There is one sessional that held 30 marks and then a board.

Course Curriculum Overview:

FACULTY TO STUDENT RATIO is pretty good. All of the teachers are very well qualified. Doubt-solving is good. Guidance is available both from teachers and seniors. Exams are conducted twice a semester. MIDTERM exams are easy u can score good marks with a week of preparation. INTERNAL marking is awesome. Out of 30 most are 25 or above. You just need to care for the END TERM EXAM. Prepare for 3 weeks, with the previous year's solved problems. Previous year questions repeat very very frequently.

Ques. Should I get a Bachelor's of Technology in computer science from MSIT GGSIPU or SRM Chennai? Why?

● Top Answer By Keshav Kishore on 04 Nov 22

Choose MSIT if you want to prioritize degree value over cost. Otherwise, go with SRM. MSIT CSE placements are excellent, but if you live in a politically neutral environment with large campuses, consider SRM, Chennai. Technical societies, such as IEEE, are very active, and if you are fortunate enough to be a part of them, it is better for you in terms of placement and 'knowledge building. If you are serious about expanding your knowledge, there are a few amazing teachers as well as seniors who can assist and guide you. It is entirely up to you to make the most of the available opportunities....Read more

Ques. I'm about to pursue my B.Tech from MSIT (CSE). I've heard that people in IPU don't get time to pursue other stuff like programming and other hobbies. Is it true?

● Top Answer By Abhishek Bharadwaj on 19 May 21

One of my friends is a final year student at MAIT - IT. And here is some statistics provided by him, which I think will clear your doubts.  Several students from MSIT, more than even a 100, are seen to regularly participate in online coding contests. You check on Codechef to find out the ratings, participants, and various similar information. Apart from that, students actively participate in various other platforms like TopCoder, SPOJ, Codeforce, HackerRank, and more. MAIT has many great programmers.  You will encounter many such individuals on campus who are preparing for examinations like GRE, GATE, CAT, and more. The same students are also involved in several clubs and societies, besides initiating blueprints of their own startup. This is despite managing above 80% academically.  Students also engage in sports like football, cricket, badminton, and various others. You can have hobbies and maintain your academic profile side by side. It depends on whether or not you are interested in accomplishing it....Read more

Ques. Which is better CSE from BPIT or IT from MSIT (second shift)?

● Top Answer By Subhash Kataria on 10 Jun 21

MSIT is definitely better than BPIT when it comes to computer science engineering. BPIT is not that bad but not as good when compared to MSIT. Placements at BPIT are getting better each year but MSIT is still leading. The table below should provide you with a better perspective on the same: College name Average package Highest package Hiring companies MSIT INR 4 to 8 LPA INR 21 LPA MU Sigma, Jaro Education, Amazon, Google, Ion Trading BPIT INR 3.95 LPA INR 10 LPA HSBC, BYJU’s, Mavenhive, Hashedin Technologies, Infosys Overall, there isn’t much difference between the two colleges. If you are planning to pursue your post-graduate studies, the college will probably not matter but your studies definitely will. You should also take into account the distance you might have to travel every day which could play a major role. My suggestion to you would be to write down the pros and cons of both the colleges and see which matters more. Is it the college name or the college stream?...Read more

Ques. Should I pursue ECE from MSIT or CS from BPIT?

● Top Answer By Sukriti Roy on 19 May 21

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) and Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology (BPIT) both are private engineering colleges in New Delhi affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). There is not much of a difference between them in terms of the syllabus of the branches.  Here are some of the things that you should know about the two courses.  Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE):  The prerequisite for doing well in this branch is a strong grasp of mathematics.  Most of the subjects in this branch are logic-based and if your mathematics is good, then you can easily score and get some good grades.  As for placements, core companies almost do not visit any of the two colleges (hardly 1 or 2). However, jobs in the service-based sector are plentiful and you can easily get them on the campus of MSIT with almost no knowledge of ECE. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): There is no prerequisite for doing well in CSE at BPIT and you can easily score good grades.  Top companies like Amazon, Commvault also visit the campus along with service-based companies such as TCS, Wipro, etc.  2021 Placement Statistics: Parameters  MSIT BPIT Average CTC 4 LPA 3.95 LPA Highest CTC 13 LPA 10 LPA Choose a branch according to your strengths and passion. In terms of college, both are almost equal and branches should be the differentiator rather than the college....Read more

Ques. Which is better CS at ITM (NCU) Gurgaon or CS at MSIT?

● Top Answer By Shivam Saxena on 02 Jul 21

ITM (NCU) Gurgaon (Now The North Cap University, Gurgaon) outperforms MSIT college. Having friends studying in both these colleges, I can assure you that there are many reasons behind choosing ITM. They have better placement records in the CS and IT fields in recent years. Students are offered a good salary package. Top companies such as Wipro, Accenture, TCS, and Infosys are frequent visitors offering placements, internships and industry visits. They have better infrastructure facilities. The faculty members are well experienced and highly educated. A well-equipped library is provided. Labs with high-speed internet and cutting-edge software are also provided. Categories CS at ITM (NCU) Gurgaon CS at MSIT Course Fee 10.4 lakh 4.69 lakh Highest CTC 12 LPA 13-15 LPA Average CTC 6 LPA 4.5 LPA Recruiting Companies Deloitte, EY, Fidelity International, Optum, etc. Amazon, Infosys, Optimus, Aricent, etc. Most of my friends landed a job at TCS and other companies as well. Ques. Should I go for CS in MSIT or ECE from MAIT?

● Top Answer By Ankita Chatterjee on 03 Jul 21

First of all, both the branches differ a lot from each other. Thus, you need to understand which branch you are inclined to. Also, keep in mind that you can change your field from ECE to CSE but not vice versa. So, choosing CSE can get you an advantage in many ways. My friend is currently studying CSE in MSIT and here’s what his experience says. Dedicated faculty : Most teachers are well experienced and really enjoy what they teach you. If you have even smallest of the doubts, do not hesitate as they will assist you whenever you need them. Especially in the CSE department, teachers are really cooperative. Infrastructure: If you visit both MSIT and MAIT, you will find that MAIT has a tad bit better infrastructure. Location: MSIT definitely has a location advantage as you can find various hangout spots around the institute and even the nearest metro of Janakpuri East is just 5 minutes away. On the other hand, MAIT lacks proximity to metro and hangout spots. Placements: While both the colleges have great placements, the CSE branch will get you better packages and increased opportunities, like any other college In India. According to the recent placement data the highest and average CTC offered at MSIT is 47 LPA and 3.6 LPA. For MAIT the average and highest CTC is 3 LPA and 28 LPA. All in all, both MAIT and MSIT are reputed private colleges of Delhi. The biggest thing that makes the difference here is the branch you choose. No doubt CSE has an upper hand over ECE as mentioned above....Read more
