I wanted to go as far away from home as my parents would let me so that meant SoCal schools were my targets. UCLA didn’t have TAG or an undergraduate major similar to criminology, and actually UCI had the only true criminology program.

Criminology is about defining and responding to crime. As a criminology student, the student will also delve into crime prevention, systems of regulation and punishment, policing, prisons, corrections, restorative justice, and human rights. Student will gain an understanding of criminality, the social construction of crime, criminal justice policies & politics.


Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Level 6 at the Language Centre, Saint Mary’s University
  • Completion of university preparatory English at a Languages Canada accredited school recognized by Saint Mary’s
  • Completion of 3 years in a Canadian secondary school where the language of instruction and examination is English
