Ontario College Of Art and Design (OCAD) offers 17 courses for undergraduate applicants and seven courses for graduate applicants. OCAD University Admission Deadlines

International students are advised to apply for admission by the given deadlines. The final deadline for undergraduate admission is August 15, 2022, and the final for admission in the graduate program is March 15, 2022

OCAD University Undergraduate Admissions

OCAD University offers three kinds of undergraduate degrees- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Design (Bides), and Bachelor of Arts (BA). Most courses at OCAD require four years of full-time study to complete. The basic admission process for all the courses is the same.

Admission Requirements:

  • For BA in Visual and Critical Studies -a combination of a review of a written assignment, a statement of intent, and the applicant’s academic records.
  • For BFA in Creative Writing program - a writing portfolio will be reviewed in addition to academic transcripts and other required supporting documents.
  • All other studio programs (Bachelor Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts) -on basis of the assessment of the applicant's portfolio of work in addition to academic transcripts and other supporting documents.

OCAD is among one of the best art and design colleges. The university has a good student-teacher faculty ratio. The curriculum is vast but the admission process majorly depends upon the portfolio.
