I choose the University of British Columbia because it is one of the top engineering colleges in Canada. It had the general engineering program in the first year and subsequently the option to take up Integrated Engineering in the second year. Furthermore, Vancouver is a beautiful city with moderate temperature and amazing people.

Course Curriculum

9

I am quite impressed with how relevant the curriculum is. I thoroughly enjoy the hands-on experience that comes as a part of my degree.

Exams

I submitted my CV and 1 LoR. The initial process involved submitting your certificates/grades for years 9-12. Then, I had to submit my Resume. I would recommend using Data from the last 3 years. Mention internships, and qualifications. Next, was submitting 300-word answers to questions they had asked. I had online interviews with the University of Toronto. The key is to practice. It is not going to come naturally to you unless you have tried to answer common/ vague questions in front of the camera. Sit with your laptop and record yourself.

Placement

I am not well Versed with such opportunities.

Internship

No, I haven't.

Events

UBC has one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen. Ranging from Old and Rustic to New and Modern, UBC has it all. UBC has more than 1000 Clubs. There are clubs dedicated to music, dance, religion, running, eating, cooking. You name it, you have it! Furthermore, UBC hosts several music festivals throughout the year.

Fees

Since I'm a domestic student, I pay about 9000 CAD a year.

Scholarship

I received a BASC scholarship from the University of Waterloo when I applied for college. I received it automatically and did not have to apply especially. It was a 5000 Canadian dollar scholarship.

Faculty

9

Faculty of Applied science is a very close-knit community. They are very well connected with the students. There are several disciplines under Applied Science. Integrated Engineering Has a class of 60 students per year. We are a very close-knit community with abundant resources. They are very well versed and you can contact them anytime. They are super friendly and approachable.

Hostel

I live on campus in a residential complex called Marine Drive. There are 6 buildings. Most rooms are 4 BHKs, there are also 2BHKs and Single rooms. It has a commons block with a gym, studying spaces, vending machines, and a 24/7 front desk to help students. There is also a small ground right in the center where students are often found playing football or exercising.
