I was looking for a college that would have all the basic amenities and would be an ideal college to pursue my further studies. I wanted the faculty to be knowledgeable and experienced and upon enquiring I discovered that Centennial has one of the best faculties in Canada. The location was favourable as well. The admission process went smooth and the fee is around CAD $8000 Per semester and apart from this I applied to one more college. I have completed Higher Secondary before coming to Canada
Course Curriculum :
The course is very practical and gives hands-on knowledge about various things that will be beneficial for the students in their jobs.
Exams :
I have always had an inclination towards business programmes which is the main reason behind choosing this program, the batch size differes for every course and minimum strength is around 20, there is no special eligibility required for this course. There are no such guidelines regarding scores required to get admission into this course.
Placement :
Average pay is around CAD $14 while visiting companies include Tim hortons and many other Canadian companies, students placements and roles differ with course as the demand may vary. Various companies look for potential candidates who have the required skills they are searching for.
Internship :
College offers internship opportunities but as my course doesn't have them I dont have much information about it. On campus jobs include various employers coming on the campus looking for suitable candidates who may fit the organization.
Events :
Halloween, Christmas, New year events, DJ nights are some of the most popular events
Fees :
Tuition fee is around CAD $8000 per semester and I didn't take any loan. There are certain scholarships such as Doorway to Dollar in our college which gives around CAD $500-2000 to deserving international students. I have never been awarded any scholarship as of my now it depends on various criteria that is looked by faculty.
Examination Structure :
Exams depend on the courses while some may have regular tests worth different marks some may hardly have any tests or exams.
Faculty :
The faculty is knowledgeable and experienced, teaching is very practical and the level is basic as only assignment require major focus. Most of the faculty is full of Phd's
Hostel :
Off campus is a better option for those who want to save money and prefer to have privacy. There are no particular challenges that I have faced till now. Charges are very high if somebody wishes to eat outside, tiffin services easily costs around $180 a month and up.
