Academically things have been as good as possible and I hope this trend continues in future as well

First of all, Laurentian gave me $10000 CAD as entrance scholarship was by-far the most my other friends were getting at the time in other universities. I always felt like uni with large classes would throw me off my game in uni and Laurentian has like 20-25 students per lecture. I wouldn't call it the best business program but it's decent enough to find work in Ontario.

Course Curriculum :

This program is focuses solely on Finance. Further opening a long trail of opportunities. Everything seems in place apart from economics but that is because I have never like eco in general. We share courses with people from different disciplines since they are mandatory to complete but some of them don't just really relate to finance like eco. The course syllabus is however seems to be in an updated shape till now.

Exams :

Canadian universities don't require anything apart from a valid proof of English proficiency i.e IELTS or TOEFL. IELTS is the easier and more common one along with being a lot more cheap when compared to TOEFL. I scored 8.0 and the minimum bar has been set for 6.5.

Placement :

Finance opens to door to great jobs such as banking, brokering etc and It is a fact that Finance falls in the top 10 needs of this decade so there will be no dearth of jobs in this field. On record, grads have been picked up by brands such as KPMG. As experience and exposure in this field increases, Pay and stature too take a good turn of events.

Events :

Laurentian university doesn't have a lot of on-campus extracurricular programs that is why students end up joining external activities such as volunteering outside of university. The infrastructure is decent for the size of the school and no Canadian uni can function with running WiFi on campus and we have that too. Libraries are also a staple in Canada along with sports spaces to practice or ease up.

Scholarship :

Laurentian offered me an entrance scholarship of $10000 CAD based on my performance in grade 12.

Faculty :

We have direct access to all professors since the faculty to student ratio can be as low as 18 students in one class and that is nothing when compared to other bigger universities and because of this, the professors are approachable in general. The support staff and faculty has degraded a bit since cost cutting measures such as firing experienced staff to hire cheaper and less experienced professors.

Hostel :

Yes, so each student has access to all the common spaces such as student lounge, TV rooms, Computer labs along with vital things like laundry rooms to get rid of your dirty clothing and I pay about 9000 CAD per year.
