I applied to 3 colleges and I had my parents support me through all of it, in grade 12 my marks were in the high 80s, it was a long journey but I finally am doing what I wanted to do. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do because I didn't want to do something that I wouldn't be happy with. I went to the Sheridan Hazel Mccallion campus in Mississauga. I was enrolled in the business administration-Human Resources program which was a two-year diploma program. During my time at Sheridan, I was guided by the career center for any career-related interests and resumes. There’s an international center that assured students of any concerns that international students may have. There are several groups where you can volunteer to gain some experience in event management, social work, and many other communities. It is a small campus but very accessible. I personally loved studying at the campus. There were study rooms and individual spaces to study. I spent most of my time at school during my time at Sheridan. When you are at Sheridan, all you have to do is to ask or reach out to those available resources and they will provide you guidance and make your life much easier. It was located in the city where I wanted to be and the college had good reviews and was known for business programs. I did my research online and also reached out to the international center before I could get admitted....Read More
