Tayyaba Review at Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto | Collegedunia

My overall experience so far has been educative. I am enjoying the courses and my program. The campus life is great. The services provided by the university are impeccable too like the academic success center and student counselling services.

I ideally wanted to go to university close to home. out of the 3 well known universities around me, Ryerson was the only one that stood out the most to me because of its business faculty. The location of the university is in the heart of downtown Toronto which gives me good job opportunities closer to the school. Ryerson is also a university which promotes diversity which is very important to me personally.

Course Curriculum :

In my opinion, the course curriculum is updated and developed. It's changing constantly to provide the best knowledge in the best experience. My program provides an option for co-up which basically is a paid internship that gives you a chance to gain experience in your field. Employees lean towards hiring co up students as they are specially endorsed by the university.

Exams :

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses including the following: - English (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred) - Mathematics (one of Calculus and Vectors [MCV4U], Advanced Functions [MHF4U] or Mathematics of Data Management [MDM4U]). Minimum overall average above 70%

Events :

As I said earlier, Ryerson University is in the heart of downtown Toronto, Canada's largest city. A dynamic center of business, industry and culture. Ryerson University has many recreational and competitive clubs. Staying active helps you break the monotony of your tight academic schedule. These diverse clubs offer you the chance to gain skills and for some, actively compete for the university. The university offers student services including, student learning support, academic accommodation support, library and bookstore services. Furthermore, the student learning center provides an outstanding environment in which to study, collaborate and share ideas.

Scholarship :

Entrance scholarship of CAD$2000 ($500/year) for students with a final admission average of 80 - 85.99%

Faculty :

The faculty ratio is 1:40. The faculty members are very supportive and approachable to any questions you might have. They are always there to assist and also acknowledge you well. One of my professors Adam Prokopa is one of the best professors I have had. He handles the class well and is able to give pep talks when needed. He is patient with his students and actually cares that we are learning the content.
