Mechanical engineering is the cornerstone of sophisticated and technologically advanced economies that open doors to a wide range of industrial automation and design-oriented careers.
This program provides practical hands-on experience in mechanical shops and computer-assisted design laboratories which is the combination of applied and theoretical knowledge.
In the 3^rd year of the program, students teams plan and craft their own creations that require the application of all of the knowledge accumulated throughout the program.
The student to faculty ratio at the college of this program is 19:1.
Students have to prepare a project such as medical devices, entertainment equipment, solar-powered products, and automotive accessories in the last semester.
During working on the project, graduates learn to work in teams when they solidifying their mechanical engineering knowledge and skills.
If any students enrolled in the program in January, then they must complete semester 2 in the summer (May to August) of the same year.
Some students will also have the opportunity to complete a co-op term. Co-op participants will be selected based on their academic performance, including a minimum GPA of 3.0 and an interview component.
Graduates can expect to find positions on technical teams that design, produce, and maintain automated equipment and systems in all industries.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students have completed an Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent degree.
Students must complete Grade 12 English (C or U) with 60% or higher.
Students also have to complete a Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U) with 60% or higher.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria

Students must be graduated from senior secondary school.
Students have a minimum overall of 60% in 10th and 12th Grade for all streams.
Students also have a minimum overall of 50% in English and Maths in 10th and 12th Grade.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
