The Department of Special Education offers master's degrees in three areas of specialization: autism and developmental disabilities; early childhood special education; and high incidence disabilities. The doctoral degree is offered in four areas of specialization: autism and developmental disabilities; early childhood special education; high incidence disabilities; and equity and diversity in special education.
The graduate study prepares students for leadership roles in fields that serve children, youth, adults with disabilities, and their families. Students may also complete coursework to fulfill requirements for a post-baccalaureate special education teaching certificate, or for certification as a behavior analyst.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have completed a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
