- Physics and Astronomy might be the path for students if they are interested in studying astronomy but may pursue another career such as medicine, law, or teaching. This program will also benefit students if they are planning to pursue graduate education and a career in astronomy.
- The BS in Physics and Astronomy is designed for students who wish to take a concentrated program of study in physics and astronomy with the intention of pursuing graduate work or a career in astrophysics or a related field.

The BA in Physics and Astronomy offers a core curriculum along with a selection of elective courses so that a student’s course of study can combine the fundamentals of physics/astronomy and other disciplines of the liberal arts and sciences. It is well-suited to students preparing to enter medicine, dentistry, law, business, science writing, secondary school teaching, and multidisciplinary fields of science.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.7 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
