- The Department of Geological Sciences' mission is to introduce problem-solving, critical thinking, and basic concepts using the earth sciences and show how modern observations can be extended into deep time.
- Graduates will be able to identify geological problems, formulate hypotheses to address geologic problems, and generate high-quality written proposals for investigating geologic questions.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental geology, earth sciences, or a closely related degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 (B average) or higher is required to be eligible for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
