The Criminal Justice program develops the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for entry level professional positions in law enforcement, corrections and other criminal justice and human service agencies, as well as entry into graduate programs.
Criminal justice students study subjects such as: law enforcement, courts, law, and corrections, as well as agencies dealing with juvenile offenders.
The Winona State University criminal justice curriculum is taught by faculty who have extensive experience in the field of criminal justice. With two program tracks, Corrections track or Law Enforcement track, the Winona State?s criminal justice program prepares students for careers in law enforcement and correctional agencies.
The criminal justice program offers students:

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must be translated into english if not in English
- Submitting SAT/ACT scores is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 68 in IBT; 520 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 5.5
- PTE: minimum 47
- Duolingo: minimum 95
- SAT: minimum 1060
- ACT: minimum 21
