Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
  • Evidence of having completed undergraduate or graduate courses in statistics, research, and abnormal psychology with a C or better.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
  • Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Work Study

  • Federal and State Work-Study Programs provide part-time jobs for students who have financial needs, allowing them to earn money to help pay educational expenses. Work-Study funds are earned on a biweekly basis according to the hours worked.
  • The Federal College Work-Study Program provides part-time employment for undergraduate and graduate students. The average award is $3,000 per year. UHV offers on and off-campus positions.
