The MA program in Art History provides students with training in art history, theory, and methods to prepare them for careers in art collections, education, and cultural institutions, and for further graduate study at the PhD level. The courses are offered in art from antiquity to the present. University provides art history as an integral part of social and cultural history in a global context and the classes are interdisciplinary in scope.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the academic requirements of the program:
- Students must complete a bachelor’s degree from an approved regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent).
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) is required.
- Students from countries where English is not the official language, and who have not earned at least a bachelor’s degree in the U.S. from a regionally accredited institution, must also demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
