Urban studies are based on the study of the urban development of cities. This includes studying the history of city development from an architectural point of view, to the impact of urban design on community development efforts. Urban studies majors use the tools of sociology, economics, and other social sciences to study city life, government, and services. If students choose this major they will learn how city dwellers live and behave.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the academic requirement of the program:
- Students must complete their secondary school examinations from a recognized university or institution.
- Students need a high school GPA based on grades earned in high school only in core academic subject areas, as well as specified AP and IB fine and performing arts courses.
- A portfolio or additional documentation is required to take admission in this program.
- A high school transcript with secondary coursework should be completed before earning the GED.
