Courses provide a solid background and skill set in topics such as intelligent transportation systems, ride-source sharing, transit system planning, transportation data analytics, travel demand forecasting, traffic systems operations, freight transportation, human factors and analytical methods in transportation. Students also obtain hands-on experience in particular areas of interest, including traffic simulations, smart transportation system control and traveler information systems. Graduate students work closely with faculty and interact with leaders in the local professional community, many of whom are UW graduates, through special courses taught by practitioners, field trips, seminars and professional society meetings.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants should hold a bachelors degree which is four year equivalent of an US degree
- Submit official and unofficial transcripts of all the previous education
- Report all the prior school atttended
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergradaute education is required for admission
- Students with GPA less than 3.0 need to sign an approval letter from the Dean’s office
- Submit GRE scores
- Submit statement of purpose
- Resume
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: Minimum 80 in IBT;
- IELTS: minimum 6.5 required
- Duolingo: minimum 105 required
