- Completion of all College of Arts and Sciences requirements (including the Liberal Arts Core with courses from specific categories and a major in one of the listed content areas), combined with 37-40 credits of education courses (including methods and student teaching), for a total of 124-127 credits, are required. Some students may need to complete total program credits that are slightly greater than 124-127. In addition, completion of New York State testing and other certification requirements apply.
