The program is designed to meet the increasing demand for trained people in this exploding area, which crosses the traditional fields of biological, chemical, engineering, health and computer sciences. The curriculum has been designed accordingly and provides the theoretical background, the practical training and, with the internships, the “real life” experience, which will equip students with the essential tools for a successful career in the field of biotechnology. In 2008, the USF Biotechnology Master's Program was recognized by the Council of Graduate Schools as a Professional Science Master's Program. Graduates take jobs in the Biotechnology Industry or move on to a Ph.D. Program, Medical School, Dental School, Veterinary School or Pharmacy School.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
Applicant must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
Submit GMAT/GRE scores
Submit three letters of recommendation with at least one from college professor and other from employers
Submit a brief essay of 1000 words describing your background, future goals, reason for pursuing a hospitality degree
Submit a current resume with employer references
Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

English Language Requirements:

TOEFL: minimum score of 79 in ibt; 550 in PBT
IELTS: minimum score of 6.5
PTE: minimum 53
Duolingo: minimum 110
