- Applied mathematical modeling often involves the use of systems of (partial) differential equations to describe and predict the behavior of complex real-world systems that unfold dynamically in time.
- Statistics, construed broadly, is the study of uncertainty: how to measure it (using ideas and methods in probability theory), and what to do about it (using concepts from statistical inference and decision theory).
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation from a recognised institution in a relavent field
- GPA of 3.0
- Basic computer programming in one or more of these formal languages: Fortran, C/C++, Python
- Mathematical linear algebra
- Ordinary differential equations
- Four quarters of calculus
- Some partial differential equations
- Working knowledge of MATLAB
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation from a recognised institution in a relavent field
- GPA of 3.0
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program
