- The Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Utah prepares engineering professionals who are trained in dpeth in their selected area of research and instill independent and critical thinking to make transitions in new areas of research as required.
- The graduate training in the Materials Science and Engineering Department is designed to provide the foundation for life-long learning, and enhance technical skills needed to solve challenging technical problems.
- The program is available both in Thesis and Non-Thesis format.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in their home country.
- They should obtain at least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate weighted mean GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
