Participating academic units include the School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry, and the School of Biological Sciences. The curriculum incorporates directed electives to allow students to work toward a minor in an area of particular career interest. Numerous minors are available at Louisiana Tech University.
A junior or senior internship or cooperative education experience is a requirement of the curriculum because it contributes to the preparation of students for a career in environmental science; thus graduates are ready for a wide range of employment opportunities. Potential employers are regulatory agencies, industrial firms, commercial laboratories, consulting firms, and environmental organizations. Also, graduates may pursue enrollment in professional or graduate schools.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of your high school and secondary school that you have completed
- Official transcripts should contain English translation if not originally in English
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
- Applicants should submit SAT/ACT scores and those not submitting the scores will have to take Maths placement exam in the University
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 71 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum score of 95
