Why CBU?The flood of data being generated in the 21st century requires scientists who apply mathematics and computer science techniques. CBU’s sports analytics program establishes an interdisciplinary mechanism where sport applications can interface with statistically and mathematically trained individuals.
Career Opportunities- Team Sports Analyst/Statistician - Translate the analytics to a Coach, Scout, or GM so they can incorporate it in their strategy.
- Television Network Sports Analyst/Statistician – Provide analysis for a television network to incorporate in their programming.
- Data Service Analyst - Analyst responsible for editorial and research content in a data agency's publications and websites.
- Independent Statistical Consultant - Consultant contracted to produce detailed statistical reports for various teams.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all academic records that should include transcripts, mark sheets, grade reports, graduation certificates of secondary school showing courses undertaken and grade received
- Official transcripts should contain an English translation
- Submit personal statements of 3 to 5 paragraphs that should highlight how the university can help in achieving future goals.
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 71 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 5.5
- PTE: minimum score of 48
- SAT: minimum score of 430 in Evidence based reading and writing
- ACT: minimum 16 in the English section
