Master of Science [M.S] [Nursing - Care Coordination Concentration] From National American University

The American Nurses Association has defined the Nurse Care Coordinator as a specialty role in nursing that serves as a facilitator to ensure patient needs and preferences are met across the healthcare continuum through effective coordination of care among various providers. In addition the Nurse Care Coordinator oversees services ordered or planned to be appropriate based on the patient?s acuity and payer source.

National American University (NAU) offers a Masters of Sciences in Nursing emphasis in Care Coordination through the Online School of Nursing (SON) Program. Eligible applicants must have achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and have an active Registered Nursing License (RN) in good standing.

Graduates from NAU's MSN emphasis in Care Coordination are prepared for the Care Coordination and Transitional Management (CCTM) Certification Exam. Additional requirements to sit for this certification include 2 years of employment as an RN Care Coordinator.
