The B.S.N. framework emphasizes the practice of professional nursing, including the design of nursing systems to provide assistance to individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations that are unable to meet either self-care or dependent-care needs without nursing intervention. Students are individuals already licensed by the state to practice as R.N.s who are seeking to advance their nursing knowledge and education.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have graduated from high school, have earned a Certificate of General Education Development (GED), or have passed the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE).
- Students must have a qualifiable minimum eligibility index.
- Students must have completed, with grades of “C-” or better, each of the courses in the comprehensive pattern of college preparatory subject requirements also known as the “a–g” pattern.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale, or an average of "B" grades on an "A - F" letter grading scale.
- Students must have met our English language requirements.
