- The information and data sciences disciplines are expanding and use to pressing demand for new innovations in information retrieval, storage, processing, and analysis tools and techniques.
- The MSc in Information Science is designed for post-baccalaureate students and working professionals who are interested in helping organizations harness the power of data by moving into advanced data solution developer and data analyst leadership roles.
- This degree is offered on-campus and fully online.
- Students are required to successfully complete 33 credit hours for the program.
- Most courses are scheduled one time per week starting at 6:00 pm Central Time (US) and lasting for 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- Students with a background in computer programming, database concepts, and applied statistics, or who have professional experience in an information analytics role, will be the most prepared to enter and successfully complete the program.
- A cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
