- The MGA is a full-time professional master's degree and students should expect to complete the degree within two years.
- The Master of Global Affairs is a co-sponsored degree between Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy and the School of Social Sciences.
- The program offers graduate students a professional master's degree that simultaneously requires high standards of scholarship and practical training for careers in government, the private sector, and international organizations.
- It is a two-year, 36 credit hour degree program.
- The program requires a non-credit-bearing pre-term math boot camp held in the evenings before classes begin.
