The University of Oregon School of Music and Dance is the premier higher education institution of music in the Pacific Northwest. The school has the largest full-time, in-residence music faculty on the West Coast north of Los Angeles. University renowned faculty members actively perform and present research locally, nationally, and internationally, giving students a first-hand look into the lives of artists and scholars.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have at least a B average or a 3.00-grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale.
- Students who have no justification for a waiver must score the minimum required score in TOEFL iBT, IELTS.
- Three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and unofficial transcripts (via online application).
- The UO does not require SAT/ACT results.
- An audition is required for all music undergraduate (freshman and transfer student) applicants, which also serves as a scholarship audition.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have an average high school academic performance of at least 60 out of 100.
- Students need to meet the University of Oregon's minimum English proficiency requirements for admission.
