The bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degree offers a studio-intensive opportunity to concentrate your expertise. In the BFA program, you will create an individual approach to making and thinking through advanced studio, interdisciplinary critique colloquia, history of art and architecture courses, seminars in art theory and criticism, and develop a body of work culminating in the BFA creative project in your declared concentration.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have at least a B average or a 3.00-grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale.
- Students who have no justification for a waiver must score the minimum required score in TOEFL iBT, IELTS.
- Three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and unofficial transcripts (via online application).
- The UO does not require SAT/ACT results.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students should have an average high school academic performance of at least 60 out of 100.
- Students need to meet the University of Oregon's minimum English proficiency requirements for admission.
