Students majoring in Communicative Disorders obtain the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful in a variety of education and health related positions.

The undergraduate study in Communicative Disorders provides students with information regarding the normal development of speech, language, and hearing and requires additional coursework related to mathematics, physics, biology, psychology, child and adult development, and counseling. Students in this major are often preparing for professional practice as either audiologists, rehabilitation counselors, or speech-language pathologists, although some graduates choose to not pursue a graduate degree and use the acquired knowledge as a strong foundation for employment in human services, educational fields, and a variety of healthcare fields.
