The department offers two options for graduate degrees. In applied mathematics students can study toward a Masters of Science and have the option to do a graduate thesis. In mathematics education students can student toward a Masters of Arts and also have the option to do a graduate thesis. There are some assistantships available that provide tuition assistance as well as a monetary stipend. The most common assistantships are teaching assistantships where students teach courses such as college algebra.
