- Through DePaul’s Data Science program, students will develop a deep understanding of computer science, mathematics, and information management — the three primary components of the data science profession.
- As they work towards their B.S. in Data Science, program coursework will teach them:
- Mathematical foundations in data analysis
- Technical skills for data processing and application development
- Advanced machine learning and statistical modeling techniques
- Analytical and communication skills to explain results in a meaningful way
- Students will take a common core of courses in computer science, programming, mathematics, and software during their first two years, after which they will select data science courses with a more narrow focus based on their interests.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
