Employment demand for professionals with leadership, financial management, policy analysis, and other skills imparted by the MPA degree has never been stronger.
Recognizing the multidisciplinary nature of the field, the UIC MPA program faculty represent mastery of many disciplines.
Their academic training and research interests cover a broad range of relevant areas including law, management, political science, statistics and research methods, survey research, sociology, economics, business, organizational theory and decision making, human resources, budgeting and finance, and information technology.
In addition to the core and elective courses, students must select one of five areas of concentration:
- Public Management- Students must select one of the following tracks:

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from a recognized university.
The cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0/4.0 for the final 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of undergraduate study.
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.
Students must demonstrate an advanced level of competence in industrial design through their portfolio submission
Submission of GRE or GMAT score is not required for all master’s programs for 2021.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Letters of Recommendation Three are required from instructors familiar with the applicant’s academic training or supervisors familiar with the applicant’s professional experiences.
Personal Statement Required. Applicants must submit a brief statement of their professional goals and academic interests.
Additional Materials Applicants must submit a resume and a 5–10 page writing sample.
Nondegree Applicants Nondegree applicants must submit an official transcript from their baccalaureate institution, resume, writing sample, three letters of recommendation, and a letter stating which courses they would like to take and why they feel nondegree admission would be beneficial.
