In Illinois Tech's Master of Data Science program dive deeply into the underlying premises of given problems, learn to reformulate the questions, and determine if the results make sense. They do this by exploring and improving the structure of the available data, creating and evaluating models, and constructing and testing hypotheses. They learn how to analyze the data, visualize the results, and equally important, how to articulate their discoveries.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from a recognized university.
- The cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0/4.0 or higher
- Students should have the basic knowledge of discrete mathematics, linear algebra, probability, statistics, relational databases, and some programming such as Matlab, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.
- Submission of GRE or GMAT score is not required for all master’s programs for 2021.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
