Important Dates
Concentrations within the program encompass Fire Safety, Fire Protection, and Occupational Safety.? Many of the lower division courses are common between the concentrations, while the upper division allows specialization within the chosen concentration area.The Fire Safety concentration is intended for students who seek a career within the fire service. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for increasingly responsible roles in leadership and management. In addition, the program provides comprehensive classes dealing with fire behavior, active and passive protection systems as well as the foundational principles of research investigation. Students completing the requirements identified for this concentration will receive a special designation on their transcripts showing they have completed the Fire Safety concentration.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts showing grades of the past three years
- Official transcripts should be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Submit a proof of high school graduation
- Submit one essay on a topic from among the topics provided by the university
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 70 in iBT (with minimum 14 in each section); minimum 523 in PBT (with minimum 46 in each section)
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 ( with minimum 5.0 in each section)
- Duolingo: minimum 105
- PTE: minimum 48
- SAT: minimum 500 in evidence based writing and reading
- ACT: minimum 19 in the English section
