There are two options: one for those interested in preparing for professional practice (culminating in a design paper), and one for those interested in a career in academics or research (culminating in a thesis).

Faculty members are engaged in variety of research projects including:

• advanced materials
• material testing techniques
• biofuels and bioprocessing
• computational fluid dynamics and advanced modeling and simulation
• advanced heat transfer devices
• improving process energy efficiency
• advanced manufacturing systems

A limited number of teaching and research assistantships are available each year.
