My time at Kent

JT
6.3 /5

The relative location to my home town was close but yet far enough that it gave the experience of being away at school during the duration of my college experience. I offered the program I wanted and was affordable.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum was laid out but not necessarily followed. While there were particular classes required, they were not always offered in a timely manner or able to be fit into a semester's schedule causing a drawn-out process.

Exams :

I took the SAT as well as ACT in High School. I also took the military entrance exam as an alternative.

Fees :

The fees were all over the place and trying to buy books on campus was outrageous. During my final semester I unenrolled and withdrew from the university and then left the state, they said I was enrolled and attended classes and charged me an entire semesters tuition, I tried to fight it but they stuck with the story that I attended even though I was no longer even a resident of the state.

Examination Structure :

The exams followed well with the material. They were laid out by date in most syllabi so as to provide adequate study time. The material was not always covered in lecture periods so much of it was expected of the students to learn on their own.

Faculty :

When they showed up to class, they seemed to know their material. Outside of class times, trying to catch them for office hours was not typically an easy undertaking.
