I love the 96% placement rate after graduation and how much the professors and all faculty care for every one of the students. I also love the campus and its beauty. The president has such an impact on every student and teaches a class for freshmen which is not popular for any other college. It just sets it apart so much.
Course Curriculum :
It differs on majors but it is set up very well. We can choose if we want a minor and what track we decide to take. Since I am on health and wellness I have exercise science classes and health-centered classes. But it is all set out on what classes to take each year.
Exams :
SAT, ACT I did not have to take a university exam only a placement exam prior to coming to High Point University.
Placement :
Because of the 96% placement rate for after the graduation date students have a huge opportunity to be offered jobs or internships before graduation, coming from such an amazing university. All the success coaches and advisors help their students attain these opportunities.
Internship :
Yes. High Point offers many opportunities to apply and participate in during any year at the university. I have not participated in an internship but I hope to before I graduate. They help engage students in internships that are available and geared toward their major.
Events :
There are so many events to participate in on campus. Derby day, plays, food truck Friday's, the ice cream truck, extraordinary cinema, prime 1924(steakhouse), arcade, and so many more things throughout the year and around the campus.
Fees :
The fees depend on scholarships offered. Tuition is about 32 thousand and fees including books and room and board are about 12 thousand additional.
Scholarship :
Yes. I applied for scholarships and received some money in scholarships and also financial aid. You must fill out FAFSA to qualify for federal financial aid.
Examination Structure :
The exam structure varies by professor and class. Some of mine are all essay questions while others are all multiple choice. There is a time for midterms and finals but professors are very helpful with any questions their students may have.
Faculty :
Every single college faculty that I have had the pleasure of meeting is so caring and understanding. The staff and campus enhancement workers are so friendly and genuinely amazing people. When they say an environment filled with caring people they truly meant it.
Hostel :
They have so many residential opinions communities for people to choose from. There are separate tiers for housing and if you desire to pay extra you can upgrade to a single room with no roommates. You can also have the options as an upperclassman to live off campus in campus housing. You also can apply to be a residential assistant and help assist the RD.
