Arcadia Uni's Review

LB
7.2 /10

It was close to my relatives and I liked the majors that they were offering. They are also #1 in study abroad so I thought I might take the opportunity to study in another country. Plus, when I first arrived I really liked the atmosphere

Course Curriculum :

I think that it is fairly good. They do offer a lot of different courses but they also have a problem with major requirements. Because a class might not have enough people, they will then drop it but that doesn't help because there are seniors who are required to take those classes in order to graduate.

Exams :

I only took the SAT. I also took AP exams, however, and I got a 3 on my psychology test. That is about as many exams that passed over to college that I know of. Other than that there was not much to submit.

Placement :

There are opportunities to work all over campus and all over the different respective majors. There are also many work-study opportunities that really allow students to work on campus rather than having to go far out to get money.

Internship :

Yes, they do, but not with the school if that's what you're asking. They connect you to internship opportunities but not the internships themselves. There may be a few at school but not a lot. We do, however, have an internship program for study abroad and I think that's pretty cool.

Events :

We have a lot of traditions. We have a Woodstock performance for a spring fling. We also have a family weekend and a carnival. We also have many comedians, hypnotists, slam poets, etc that visit the campus all the time. the fee for attending these events then the answer would be that they are all free. Most of the events on campus are free and provide free food as well. If you have to pay for something it'd probably be from an outside bender that happens to be on campus.

Scholarship :

Yes, I have. There are scholarships based on academic performance and there are also scholarships based on things that you can apply for. So, there are a lot of opportunities to get money but the school is also very expensive so it may not feel like much all the time.

Examination Structure :

We have midterm exams and final exams. Those are structured based upon the courses that you are taking - some maybe not even making you take any tests at all. So, that is the general gist of the exams.

Faculty :

They are like any typical faculty. You have some who are very nice and seem to really enjoy their job. However, you also have people who clearly want to screw over their students and make everything significantly harder for everyone. I think that is just something that will always be the case no matter where you go.

Hostel :

As far as where I live I do like the structure. I live with two other people and I do feel like there is an adequate enough space for all of us. The only thing I don't like is how maintenance cleans. Sometimes it feels like they're not putting much effort and we have a lot of rust in shower corners and etc.
