Washington State University: Great Faculty!!

A
6.7 /10

It felt like the right choice for the right price. I also felt like I would find a good community there and be able to have a good college experience. The school also gave me a good scholarship when I first applied.

Course Curriculum :

I think the course curriculum is good, but it could be improved. There are diversity courses but I don't think they leave people more educated on the different groups on campus. It seems like the university needs to improve its efforts to make courses that reflect the college population.

Exams :

SAT, ACT. I can't remember any of my scores for the SAT but I got a 33 on the ACT. I did pass the TEAS test for nursing admissions as well. There weren't really any other tests I took for admission, but I'll be taking the NCLEX upon graduation.

Placement :

The job opportunities are pretty good! There are a lot on campus jobs you can get, and they are pretty good about working around your class schedule so that you are able to focus on academics first.

Internship :

I did not have an internship.

Events :

Events celebrated include holidays, cultural events, and always sports. There is a huge football culture here. They also celebrate when research or big college news occur. I can?t think of any other major celebrations.

Fees :

The fee structure kind of sucks. There are a ton of things that you get charged for, even if you don?t use the resources. However, it is helpful that one fee allows you to ride the buses for free and helps keep the health center open.

Scholarship :

I have received scholarships. Most scholarships are awarded once applying in your senior year of high school. I have a renewable one, which has helped a lot. But there aren?t a ton of them available once you are actually in college.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure is almost always multiple choice. I?ve had a few short answer exams for humanities classes, but they are almost always multiple choice. They seem to usually be really fair in content.

Faculty :

I think most of the faculty are incredibly caring. They are there to help you learn and improve your college experiences. For nursing specifically, everyone is open and ready to support you. It feels great to have that level of support.

Hostel :

I lived in an on-campus apartment which was kind of nice. We had only one bedroom which sucked, but maintenance would always be available if we had any leaks and there wasn?t much issues with the quality of the apartment.
