Briana Garvin Review at University Of North Carolina [UNC CHARLOTTE], Charlotte | Collegedunia

Briana's Review

BG
7.7 /10

Because it was in a big city, the tuition was affordable and the program was promising. I knew that I would be able to excel in this program because of how it was shaped. I wanted something that would feed my soul.

Course Curriculum :

I like that the curriculum is essential to my career as a historian. It will help to be objective as well as analyze better in the real world. The skills that I've acquired will be useful once I graduate because not everyone gets the same thing.

Exams :

I took the ACT, SAT when I was in high school. The SAT was taken twice to improve my score. These were essential to my high school career to ensure I would go to college. I wanted to make sure I scored high.

Placement :

The job opportunities are okay because there are very few things that you can do with a history degree. Education seems to be the only option for most to choose from. You have to look for jobs on your own to find the best.

Internship :

Yes, my college does provide internships. They are either paid or unpaid. It is very rare that you will find a paid internship. I have not had an internship yet because the spots are limited which makes it hard to be chosen.

Events :

My college celebrates a myriad of events that range from step shows to religious ceremonies. They have step shows for all the fraternities and sororities. There are also cultural events based on history classes offered at the campus.

Fees :

The fees are structured based on whether you are in state or out of state residence. My fees were broken down from highest to lowest. So the structure decreased as I went down the page. But I do a payment plan so that shows up as well.

Scholarship :

I do not have any scholarships but I do receive aid to be able to attend school. I did receive loans in the previous semesters but now I pay my own balance. I do receive a grant from the school and the federal government to fund my education.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure at my college is like any other university. We have a midterm and final exams that encompass all the knowledge acquired over the course of the semester. Sometimes professors will throw in some more exams based on what they're teaching.

Faculty :

I think that the faculty at my school are either a hit or miss. Basically, the professors are either knowledgeable or unknowing of what they teach. You have to choose wisely in selecting the best professor possible.

Hostel :

I actually do not live on campus because I live within close proximity to my college. I am only about two miles away from campus. This works for me because I do not have to travel far because I am so close. This is more convenient and comfortable for me in this case.
