Emerson College has been ranked as having the number 1 journalism program in the country, which was a huge pull factor for me. I also love being in a city and love having a small campus feel while still being in a big city.
Course Curriculum :
I like the course curriculum, however, some of the elective courses are a hit or miss. I also love the major course because I am able to do hands-on work in my field of study. I have learned a lot about important aspects of journalism and have been given the opportunity to practice them right away.
Fees :
The tuition for Emerson College is around $68,000 a year, give or take with scholarships and financial aid.
Examination Structure :
Exams vary for each teacher, however, they are usually project or essay based. Very few teachers choose to do handwritten test-like exams, however, they still occur. Exams throughout the semester vary from teacher to teacher as well.
Faculty :
The faculty at my college is wonderful. Though there is some discourse regarding Emerson and it's lack of diversity within the faculty and students who were accepted, I have lucked out with the faculty and feel very supported by them and have learned a lot of valuable things from them.
