Merrimack College Review

JG
7.5 /10

It was close to home, offered greek life and on-campus housing. They were able to accept my transfer credits and I had friends who also attended the college. I liked the idea of a smaller campus with catholic roots.

Course Curriculum :

I personally feel that the curriculum did provide me with the skills and knowledge that would be used in a marketing career. Most entry-level marketing jobs required skills and education.

Exams :

SAT- I do not remember the exact scores anymore. I did not take any additional exams such as the university level.

Placement :

They offered career fairs as well as other career services such as resume help and mock interviews to help prepare. They had an online portal to view job opportunities for all different majors. There were many job postings from local companies

Internship :

They allowed you to work an outside internship for course credit. This required an online course component and a final presentation to reflect on the experience. The courses counted as an elective rather than a business course

Events :

There were always events going on such as sporting events, religious events, professional development, and events put on by different clubs. Most clubs were provided a budget by the school that allowed them to host events

Fees :

Most fees were covered within the tuition.

Scholarship :

I received a transfer student scholarship this was awarded at the time of acceptance. I did not qualify for financial aid.

Examination Structure :

Exam structures vary by each course. Most courses used projects and group presentations instead of exams. Exams would usually consist of short answer responses or multiple-choice questions. Most business courses would have final presentations instead of tests.

Faculty :

Some were great and incredibly knowledgeable, others did not seem passionate about the field that they were teaching. we had several of the same teachers because they taught more than one course.

Hostel :

The school offered on-campus housing for students. Off campus housing in the area was available but not sponsored by the school. There were also many commuter students.
