Jordan Review at University Of Tennessee [UTK], Knoxville | Collegedunia

The Amazing University of Tennessee

Jordan
8.7 /10

I was eligible for in-state tuition, which was probably the big selling point. When I toured I absolutely loved it, and I got that "I belong here" feeling. I knew all along that I wanted to attend a really large SEC school.

Course Curriculum :

I like the course curriculum really. I think it's challenging but very valuable. I also enjoy studying and find it to be easier than anticipated due to the fact that I enjoy the subject matter. If you enjoy what you do, you never work a day in your life, you know.

Exams :

I took the ACT and got a 30. I took the AP World History Exam, and I got a 2. I took the AP US History Exam, and I got a 3. I took the AP Psychology exam, and I got a 4.

Placement :

The college is truly more concerned with helping you get your degree. As far as finding a job, getting into grad school, or placing you into any position they do not officially do this, but they'll help you if you have a good relationship.

Internship :

No, my college does not provide an internship, but they will do their best to help you find one if they are able to.

Events :

Events that are most important to my colleagues are women in stem programs. As well as promoting future classes. Lastly, they also celebrate pretty much every national holiday as well as special events for midterm and finals weeks.

Fees :

There is tuition, room and board, transportation fee, technology fee, any textbook fees, inclusive access fees, in addition to laboratory fees, as well as maintenance fees campus-wide for each and every student.

Scholarship :

Yes, I did apply for many UT Merit scholarships in addition to some local scholarships from the community.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure is roughly one exam every three weeks I would say. Of course, it depends on the professor and curriculum of the course, but roughly I do feel that I take about one exam every three weeks in each class.

Faculty :

The faculty is great. They really are passionate about the subjects they teach. They really love teaching, and that much is evident. They also are engaging and really encouraging to their students. I appreciate a teacher that is caring about his or her students.
