Because it is close to home and has a really good program for public health. It is also in Texas so it is not as expensive as if I went to another state because all other states are more expensive than Texas.
Course Curriculum :
My opinion is that the course syllabus is up to date and the course material is relevant as well. They covered Covid stuff when the pandemic was going on and that was interesting. It was also good since we are getting our mph.
Exams :
The GRE is required however I did not have to take it because the year I applied it was waived due to the Covid pandemic.
Placement :
The post study placement and research opportunities are not that interesting. There’s a lot of research and professors who are doing their own research however it is hard to find available opportunities so I would rather not do it at all.

Scholarship :
I did not receive any scholarship because fafsa never recognizes that I do need aid so I never receive anything from them.
Faculty :
The faulty is good. The ratio is probably 10 students to 1 professor. They are well educated and knowledgeable people. I am glad I have had all the professors I have. I have a great professor for my economic and social determinants of health class who seems so nice.
Campus Life :
Campus life is pretty boring. I wish they would renovate the building and make it nicer to be in and more modern and functional. It’s hard to find outlets to plug in my laptop and work. There aren’t many clubs or extracurricular activities. There are events and there is a library and there is wifi.
Hostel :
There is not any accommodation on campus because this isn’t really a campus. It’s one singular building. There are apartments nearby where many students live. They also have the metro so those students can easily take that to come to class and not worry about parking.
