Cindy Nguyen Review at Emory University, Atlanta | Collegedunia

Awesome

8.3 /10

I chose Emory University because they offered a great financial aid package of $67,000 without loans. It was also the ideal size being a medium-sized university. The university is also ranked 20 according to US News.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum is not easy. But with hard work, high grades can be achieved. The curriculum never feels like a waste of time. For the most part, I enjoy attending my classes and learning. This aspect helps in succeeding.

Exams :

In high school, I took the SAT twice and the ACT. So far in college, I have received a 102 on a linguistics midterm. A 100 on an intermediate economics exam.

Fees :

The total cost of attendance is around $69,000. Tuition is only about $30,000. But housing is required for the first two years, so that adds a lot to the cost. But financial aid is very good. I received $67,000 in scholarships and grants.

Examination Structure :

Exams are straight to the point. The scheduling is very different based on the classes you have. Some classes have zero exams. Some have way too many. Final exams week runs as smoothly as it can. However, the last day of class and the first day of finals week are too close together.

Faculty :

Even as a freshman, I have already met multiple professors I highly enjoyed. My linguistics professor had an amazing sense of humour. I had a history professor that was so sweet, despite me coming to his office to inform him of my withdrawal from his course. And I had this math professor that is so good that I am going to take an 8:30 am class just because he's teaching it.
