The admission procedure was straightforward and there is no application fee to apply for any course. It is one of the top universities in Michigan, US. There are a lot of coursework and research options available. Moreover, it will not cost you as much as other State universities and also a great number of funding and scholarships are provided for national and international students.

Course Curriculum :

A graduate program will require you to complete a total of 30 credits. The classes are small, so it is beneficial to contact the professors and get guidance from them. The faculty is very experienced in their fields and will help you in any way they can. Many companies participate in career fairs here, so it is easy to land a job after graduating from Tech.

Placement :

A lot of companies visit Michigan Tech and career fairs are organized from time to time to contact the recruiters and increase the opportunity to get a job. The department helps you in building a perfect resume and guides you depending on your skills and talents to connect with the right jobs. Undergraduates and graduates from Tech have gotten jobs in Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla, Google, etc.

Internship :

I am a teaching assistant for the CS department. The average pay is $15-$20 per hour. There is a portal where the university constantly posts on-campus jobs where you can apply and almost everyone is hired for some kind of a job.

Fees :

Michigan Tech is very affordable. It is located in a small town so other expenses are also not too high. There are multiple methods through which you can pay the fees. Tech also offers a number of scholarships to students. As per the study material, most of it is provided by the professors so you do not have to spend much on books.

Scholarship :

Michigan Tech provided a COVID relief fund to all the students. Most of the scholarships are automatically available and you do not have to apply for them. Furthermore, several funding options are available for international students.

It has its own ice hockey arena where national level matches take place.

Hostel :

Michigan Tech provides a number of off-campus and on-campus housing options. They are very affordable. Undergraduate accommodations are very cheap and provide you with all the amenities. It is a really small town and everything is within walking distance.
