Nursing Program at ECPI University

K
5.7 /10

I opted for this particular college due to the fast-paced nursing curriculum that would allow me to earn my RN in 18 months, get a job, and begin my life as quickly as possible opposed to a tradition 4-year school.

Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum is challenging because it is extremely fast paced but the professors I have had have been wonderful and attentive making the information easily understandable and making a suitable learning environment allowing students to make it through a 45 credit hour class in 5 weeks.

Exams :

SAT, TEAS, took the TEAS during my first meet and greet with the academic advisor at the college and ended up scoring high enough to be considered for the program in the competitive placement and to be a part of the environment.

Placement :

Job opportunities are basically promised as we have been informed of many students having jobs lined up before they even graduate from nursing school simply from clinical experiences and putting themselves out there with the assistance of the faculty of the school.

Internship :

I am not sure as I recently began the program; however, many people have entered various classes in order to inform students of the opportunities that will be available to them in the coming future regarding careers.

Events :

There are an event and activity coordinator that provides opportunities from students of all programs to get involved and expose themselves to varying activities and celebrations of different events within the school and the community as well.

Fees :

The program is pricey at nearly $46,000 for an associates degree in the RN program. This fee includes parking, textbooks, technology integration-including Ipads for each student pre-downloaded with an anatomy app to stimulate further learning.

Scholarship :

Yes, the financial aid department assisted me in the entire process and thoroughly explained what documentation I needed to have and also made multiple appointments with me to make sure everything was straightened out.

Examination Structure :

Exam structure varies dependent upon professors. Most exams are given online through a lockdown browser but some professors still use pencil and paper scantron tests. Cheating is highly unacceptable and will result in the termination of your student status.

Faculty :

The faculty that I have encountered have been attentive, caring, and willing to help with any problems that may arise within the students and their academics. Each professor teaching a nursing course is a fully accredited nurse themselves and provide real-life stories to make the information more relatable.

Hostel :

It is a fully commuting school so I reside off campus along with each other student in the school which helps with room and board prices and also provides more convenience for those who are returning to school and may have a family of their own.
