Stacy Review at University Of Louisville, Louisville | Collegedunia

University of Louisville is Awesome!

S
7.2 /10

I received a full scholarship and was interested in the biology program. I liked that it was close to home yet far away enough that I felt I had left. The campus is very nice and the staff really cares about their students.

Course Curriculum :

UofL offers many different types of courses where everyone can find something they like! They try really hard to offer a wide variety of subjects and sub-subjects. I always have at least one class I enjoy!

Exams :

I took the PSAT (1250) and ACT (32) while in high schools. No tests are taken at the university this far.

Placement :

UofL has a career development center that works with students to figure out their best and most fitting career options, depending on tile available, interest, etc. They try really hard to work with the students to figure out current and future employment.

Events :

We celebrate lots of events at UofL! We have international women's day, raised, Diversity inclusion dinners, Hair fair, know your rights, Trivia nights, game nights, Fiesta del sol, basketball celebration, finals week fests.

Fees :

There was an application fee to apply to the college. There?s tuition, a meal plan, a healthcare fee (that can be waived), possible lab fees if you take a lab, student recreation fee for the gym, and possible costs of housing if you stay on campus!

Scholarship :

Yes. I attended the governor's scholars program of Kentucky and received full tuition at UofL because of that and my ACT score. I also receive KEES money for my grades and ACT scores from high school. UofL offers other scholarships and financial aid but I did not apply to those.

Examination Structure :

Different classes have different exam structures. Most exams are multiple choice but there are also short and long answer exams. There are oral presentations/exams as well. Some classes will have multiple exams and others will only have 1 or 2.

Faculty :

The faculty seems to really care for the students. If I ever have a question, I can always go to a professors office hours and have them answered. Our new president seems very in tune with the students.

Hostel :

During my freshman year, I lived in an on-campus dorm. It was awesome! Very convenient walk and very safe and clean. In my sophomore year I lived in an off-campus apartment, that was a short walk to campus. It was also very clean and very nice! There are other on-campus apartments and dorms. There's also off-campus housing that isn't too far of a walk.
